Tecno mobile releases another powerful device into the L-series smartphone called “Tecno Pouvoir 2” which means power in French. The L-series is known for its strong and long-lasting batteries which bring about the name Pouvoir (power) to the new phone. As an addition to this variant Tecno has added the lite version called “Tecno Pouvoir 2 Air” has the smaller variant of the three (Pouvoir 2 and the Pouvoir 2 Pro, the Tecno Pouvoir 2 Air) .

The Review

The Pouvoir 2 Air has a 6-inch Display, two cameras and ships with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) out of the box. It still packs the massive 5,000mAh battery which is on it’s two bigger siblings.

Merely looking at the TECNO Pouvoir 2 Air, it looks identical to the Pouvoir 2 and 2 Pro with its plastic body with dual antenna lines which brings out the phone’s beauty really nicely, it’s curved sides and edges fits perfectly into your hands. This slim, sexy, sleek and beautiful body device measures a dimension of 159.8×76.8×8.5mm and weighs 174 grams with a thin bezel, giving the device the premium look and feel.

Tecno Pouvoir 2 Air Display

The Tecno Pouvoir 2 Air features a 6-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays stunning visuals for its price. Boasting of 720 x 1440 pixels and 269 pixels per inch density, offering nice visuals. The screen stretches up to 76.3% screen-to-body ratio and dishes out an 18:9 aspect ratio. The full view display on the Pouvoir 2 Air will bring out your movies and games pretty nicely.

The Full display means multitasking and users been offer opportunity to split their screen (18:9 screen support single window 1:1 split-screen operating with only one step), so that they can handle more than one task while still being able to see more on either of the split windows, it also comes with a 2.5D corning third glass, which does not only ensure that users enjoy better visual effects from the screen but also safeguards it from cracks and delivers smoother touching. A Slim bezels surround the screen to create an expansive view that you can’t take your eyes off, making the phone looks incredibly compact and comfortable to hold

Tecno Pouvoir 2 AirCamera

Although the Pouvoir is more about the battery life, however, that does not make the device lacking in other departments. The Tecno Pouvoir sports a 13MP rear camera which comes with f/2.0 aperture which is accompanied by a dual-LED flash resulting in producing stunning and high-resolution photos even in low light environments.

While at the front the device you get an 5MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash for low light shots which enables you to capture bokeh effect selfies with a single lens. It can read the depth of field information and separate background from the foreground to keep subjects in focus and background beautifully blurred, resulting in amazing selfies or groupfies.
The front facing camera is also used for FaceID which this device has.

Working underneath is the MediaTek MT6580A. A quad-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The quad-core processor reaches a standard speed of 1.3GHz with 28nm process technology coupled with a ARM Mali- 400MP2 GPU for graphics and games. The TECNO Pouvoir is one of the first few Android devices to runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with HiOS 3.5 skin.

Pouvoir 2 Air has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which you can extend to 32GB via a Micro SD-card if more storage space is required by the user.
